Regional Support Manager
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Reporting to: Operations Director / Group Operations Director
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, committed care professional to join our team as a Regional Support Manager. This role is ideal for someone who has successfully led good-rated care home and is now ready to apply their expertise, leadership and passion across multiple homes.
You will work alongside Home Managers (not as a line manager), providing hands-on, practical support to ensure our homes operate smoothly, compliantly and efficiently - while remaining happy places for residents, relatives and staff.
This is a highly autonomous role with real influence over how we run our business and strong opportunities for future progression.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored, on-site support to Home Managers to help homes achieve and maintain Good CQC ratings
Support the development, implementation and monitoring of robust action plans following compliance inspections, audits and external reviews
Monitor progress against actions on a monthly basis, ensuring timely completion and sustained improvement
Support and participate in safeguarding and whistleblowing investigations, attending meetings as required
Work with homes to maintain high occupancy levels, drive private occupancy where appropriate and support positive resident and relative experiences
Support effective payroll management, cost control and workforce planning to minimise or eliminate agency usage
Review compliance reports, QA evidence and performance data, translating findings into clear, practical actions
Support completion of monthly Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) requirements and ensure evidence meets CQC expectations
Conduct focused audits (e.g. care planning, medication, infection control, pressure care and clinical monitoring) and produce clear summary reports
Provide hands-on operational and clinical support during periods of challenge, change or instability
Offer peripatetic management cover during prolonged Home Manager absence and provide intensive support to underperforming services
Act as an emergency point of contact when Home Managers are on leave
Support the induction and development of new Home Managers
Attend CQC inspections, resident, relative and staff meetings as required
Participate in weekly Home Management support calls and regional operational forums
About You
Excellent at building rapport and maintaining strong, trusting relationships
Calm, pragmatic, supportive and non-controlling in your approach
Highly organised, proactive and outcomes-focused, with a hands-on mindset
Confident interpreting compliance and performance reports and turning insight into action
Comfortable working independently while being a strong team player
Willing to travel extensively across the region and respond to emergency situations
Open to feedback, learning and professional development
Confident using IT systems and adopting new technologies
Essential Experience
Strong understanding of CQC expectations and what good-rated care homes look like in practice
Senior care home management experience (e.g. Home Manager, Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead)
Experience working within large care home environments
Proven stability and longevity in previous roles
Experience managing safeguarding investigations and attending multi-disciplinary meetings
Experience conducting HR investigations and hearings
Working Pattern & Package
Typically 3–4 days per week on-site in homes, with 1–2 days working from home and occasional office days
Competitive salary dependent on experience
