Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday – With some weekend on call

Location: Shropshire

We are looking for a Regional Maintenance Manager to assist in the safe, efficient running of our Nursing Homes by supporting and leading our in-house maintenance team.

Who We’re Looking For

• You’ll need a real can-do attitude and have maintenance skills including:
• Decorating Skills.
• Plumbing skills including tap replacements and TMV servicing
• Electrical skills – Like for like replacements and basic fault finding
• Pat testing skills – or prepared to complete the course at our expense
• Good understanding of how to work an iPad and laptop computer
• Legionella knowledge
• Health & Safety knowledge with the willingness to advance your knowledge
• Full Driving License – With a willingness to travel – You will be travelling to and from our homes on a daily basis.
• Care Home Experience
• Management Experience preferred

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll assist with the safe and effective running of our care homes.

• Manage and sign off works undertaken by external contractors in your region.
• Ensure all our HMO’S (Houses of Multiple Occupants) within your region are compliant.
• Ensure all Statutory and Non-Statutory Tasks within your region are completed correctly and on time.
• Keep and update records that can be viewed when required.
• Record and update all tasks assigned to you using the electronic maintenance logging system.
• Train, Mentor and Support of Maintenance Team
• Support the Home Manager to ensure compliance in relevant areas of health and safety throughout the home by carrying out regular and timely health and safety inspections, hazard identification and make regular report of findings to Facilities Manager.
• Be accountable for completion and appropriate filing of associated documentation.
• Take personal responsibility in becoming fully aware of Health and Safety at Work Policies, in particular Fire Procedures, Control of Infection, COSHH and Moving and Handling.
• Working with the Facilities Manager to onboard new homes as we acquire them.
• Support Home Managers in the review of CVs and the interviewing of new Maintenance Persons and advise on recruitment decisions.
