Regional Operations Director - Midlands and South of England Only
Location: Midlands & South of England
Salary: Competitive + bonus, company vehicle & private healthcare
Working Pattern: 3–4 days in homes, 1–2 days from home, occasional office attendance

About the Role
Reporting to the Group Operations Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for supporting and overseeing Home Managers across the South Region. You’ll drive quality, compliance, performance, and team development, with the autonomy to shape operations and provide hands-on support where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support Home Managers to deliver high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and strong operational performance
- Provide hands-on operational support within homes, including stepping into interim management roles when required
- Act as a key link between homes and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication and consistent standards
- Drive quality and compliance, supporting homes through audits, inspections (including CQC), safeguarding, and investigations
- Develop, implement, and monitor action plans following audits and inspections to ensure continuous improvement
- Support performance management across the region, including occupancy, fee optimisation, payroll, and cost control
- Promote a sustainable staffing model, reducing reliance on agency and improving team stability
- Oversee quality assurance frameworks, ensuring audits, reviews, and improvement plans are completed effectively
- Support HR processes such as investigations, disciplinaries, and leadership development of Home Managers
- Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on engagement, retention, and high performance
- Champion the effective use of digital care systems (e.g. PCS, Camascope) and support adoption of new technologies
- Provide guidance on clinical and operational matters, attending inspections, stakeholder meetings, and governance forums
- Produce clear, insightful reports following home visits to evidence oversight, risk management, and progress
About You
- Experienced care professional with a background as a Care Home Manager
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards; regional experience desirable
- Commercially aware with budget and performance management skills
- Organised, detail-focused, and confident using digital systems
- Collaborative leader who can support and develop diverse teams
- Flexible and willing to travel across the region
- NMC PIN/clinical background advantageous but not essential
